National Operations Manager. About Co-Operative Housing Ireland. Co-operative Housing Ireland (CHI) was founded in 1973 and is the national organisation representing, promoting, and developing co-operative housing in Ireland. Since their foundation they have provided over 5,700 homes through homeownership, shared ownership, and social rented co-operatives. With their membership of democratically controlled local co-operatives, they continue to manage over 3,000 homes across Ireland as well as providing a network of childcare services in their communities. About the Role. Co-operative Housing Ireland is undergoing a period of significant growth and expansion, with 500 units added to its portfolio since 2019 and plans for a similar number in both 2021 and 2022. To support this growth and ensure they continue to serve their Members’ well, the organisation is undertaking a recruitment campaign for three new roles at executive and senior level, one of which is an experienced National Operations Manager with a proven track record in a similar role.  Reporting to the Head of Development, the successful candidate will be responsible for: Managing the business process around new (residential property) acquisitions and in particular the closure of property deals. Managing the New Business Development team and ensuring that all business targets are met. The National Operations Manager will assist the Head of Development to grow CHI’s housing stock by ensuring that all aspects of the management and administration of new business operate to high standard of efficiency and effectiveness while ensuring that all administrative requirements are met. They will ensure the completion of all current and new development projects and will provide leadership and support to the business development team to achieve the aim of growth. To succeed in this role, the post holder must have extensive previous experience of managing a property acquisitions process as well as leading a team. This role requires an excellent process manager with natural people management and communication skills, and a strong commercial acumen. He/she will be self-driven, creative, passionate about their work and comfortable working under pressure and to deadlines.
