Industrial Relations Consultant. Sanderson is partnering with a leading organisation to recruit a permanent Industrial Relations Consultant. The overall mission of the role is to enhance HR services and to hire an IR professional with a thorough knowledge of employment law and current Human Resources Practices. Core Responsibilities. Delivering effective resolutions to industrial disputes and provision of IR support in managing third party referrals. Developing and delivering the IR service using social media platforms, HR guides and the IR / HR section of website. As part of the IR team, maintain effective working relationships with other social partners, relevant Government departments, the Labour Court and the Workplace Relations Commission. Be an articulate, well-informed and effective advocate on behalf of the and its members. Key Skills and Experience. Degree level in HR/IR or related discipline and desirably 3-4 years relevant experience particularly in Industrial Relations/Employment law with a demonstrated record of success in helping resolve industrial disputes and other employee related issues. A good understanding of the role of a representative organisation serving the needs of entrepreneurially-oriented business people; strongly committed to serving the needs of members and member Associations and keeping them advised and up-to-date on changes and developments in IR and HR. A comprehensive knowledge of IR / HR with particular strengths in using social media platforms including writing blogs and online articles will be a distinct advantage; capable of writing well thought out, detailed submissions, devising appropriate responses. Previous experience in a unionised environment highly desirable.
