FINANCE DIRECTOR SAVVI CREDIT UNION Founded in 1962, Savvi Credit Union has over 24,000 members nationwide together with circa €380m in assets under management. As one of Ireland’s largest credit unions, Savvi has been a highly successful provider of financial services over its 60 years. Its members, and the communities within which they live and work, have always been at the heart of the credit union. Savvi is focused on achieving its mission to improve the lives of its members by promoting and providing affordable access to credit, delivering quality financial services whilst making a positive impact in its communities. The Board now wishes to appoint a Finance Director (FD) to provide strategic financial direction as well as fiscal and business leadership in a highly regulated environment. Reporting to the CEO, the new FD will: deliver on Savvi Credit Union’s mission, vision and values, contribute fully to the development of company strategy across all areas of the business, challenging assumptions and decision-making as appropriate and providing financial analysis and guidance on all activities, plans, targets and business drivers, lead and develop the finance team, optimise the business financial performance and strategic position of the credit union in the market, contribute to the corporate management of the credit union, playing a key role in internal and external communications. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the new FD will play an important role in the development and delivery of Savvi’s objectives. The ideal candidate will be: a senior finance professional, highly experienced in developing and implementing financial and operational strategies, an innovative leader with experience of managing change, including regulatory change, and demonstrating commitment to delivering high quality service, a strong communicator with people and leadership skills, a strategic thinker with relationship management expertise to manage a dynamic and complex regulated environment involving a range of stakeholders both internal and external to Savvi Credit Union.
