Sanderson are working alongside a not-for-profit organisation based in South Dublin to recruit a Management Accountant. This position will be hybrid working. The purpose of this role is to prepare and analyse the monthly management accounts. Other duties will include supporting managers in the development and monitoring of departmental budgets, responsibility for the payroll function and managing cost containment initiatives. The successful candidate will report to the Director of Finance and also work closely with the Business Intelligence Manager to ensure the financial viability of the organisation. Main duties and responsibilities. Preparation of monthly management accounts. Prepare narratives to explain variations from budget. Assist on projects to improve controls as well as restructuring excel reports to create efficiency's. Plan for year-end cut off procedures, workload, etc. Prepare monthly financial statements and returns. Maintain and reconcile on a monthly basis all balance sheet accounts. Liaise with other function managers to put the finance view in context. Analyse pay and non pay costs and assist in budget setting. Manage the payroll function. Update the Fixed Asset Register. Facilitate audits as part of both the year-end as well as internal audit process. Prepare report for Senior Management to inform strategic decisions and support business strategies. Prepare forecasts and cash flow projections. Ensure the efficient use of resources. Liaise with the Purchasing Department regarding stock analysis, contracts and other relevant matters. Maintain and improve financial accounting systems and records to comply fully with accounting standards for voluntary hospitals. Manage the Agresso accounting package. Liaise with external stakeholders. Report to various governance committees accountable for quality and finance. Play a lead role in developing and maintaining robust financial controls. Key requirements. Hold a professional accountancy qualification as awarded by a recognised accountancy body ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CPA. Financial experience at senior level in a Health Services/Public sector setting desirable. Post qualification experience at Financial/ Management Accountant level.
