Leading Fintech in South Dublin are recruiting for the permanent position of Spanish Underwriting Analyst, to join our Credit & Risk team. The focus of this role will be supporting the Spanish market. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years previous experience in credit analysis or underwriting position. Main Responsibilities. Underwriting of businesses applying for Card Payments facilities. Assessment of new and existing merchants based on analysis of merchant specific business model risk, financial profile and card acceptance, acquiring processing. Performance of financial analysis based on business model risk, financial statements, forecasts, credit bureaus. Quantification of chargeback risk exposure and potential collateral and reserve requirements. Collaboration with sales channels and partners to advance new merchant applications. Proactive monitoring of newly boarded and the existing merchants. Verification of adherence to compliance requirements, scheme rules and credit guidelines. Various risk reporting, investigating and oversight tasks. Internal contact for risk management and compliance inquiries. Training of partners and merchants on risk management processes. Close cooperation and collaboration with colleagues in Dublin and Europe. Qualifications and Experience. Relevant 3rd level degree in business, finance or equivalent. Experience in banking or payments industry and familiarity with KYC procedures beneficial. At least 2-4 years experience in credit analysis or underwriting. Fluent Spanish. A team player with communication, negotiation and prioritisation skills to succeed within a fast paced, efficient, customer focused organisation. Excellent excel.
