Our client is a global provider of reinsurance solutions with expertise in a wide range of disciplines and markets. This company has grown into one of the world's leading reinsurers with a strong presence in Ireland. They are seeking to hire a Senior Financial Accountant to join its finance team in Dublin, Ireland. Reporting to the Group Finance Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial reporting, accounting, and analysis for the Irish entity. Key Responsibilities: Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS. Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and liaising with auditors. Preparation and review of regulatory filings and returns. Management of the monthly and annual close process, including balance sheet reconciliations, accruals and journal entries. Preparation of budget and forecast for the Irish entity. Analysis of financial results, providing commentary and presenting findings to senior management. Provide support to the wider finance team as required. Prepare ad-hoc analyses and financial reports as required by the CEO and Board of Directors. Qualifications and Experience: A professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA. 5+ years of experience in a financial accounting role, preferably in the insurance or reinsurance industry. Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting. Experience in the preparation of financial statements and regulatory returns. Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
